At the invitation of Enrico Neami (dojocho of the Aiki Shuren Dojo Trieste), Stefano Di Carlo Shihan (6th dan Iwama Shin Shin Aiki Shurenkai, direct student of both Saito Morihiro Sensei and Hitohira Saito Sensei, head of Takemusu Aikido Torino) will lead a koshukai (seminar) of Traditional Aikido of the Iwama School – Dentō Iwama Ryu Aikidō in the halls of the Corpo Libero S.S.D. in Ronchi dei Legionari (GO) on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March 2026.
The seminar is open to all practitioners of any school or rank, provided they are duly insured.
It is possible to stay overnight at the dojo (by explicit request), and registration is mandatory no later than 24 March 2026. Participants who are not registered by the deadline will not be admitted.
Black belts and hakama may be worn only by dan ranks; kyu ranks will wear keikogi and a white belt. A jo, ken, and tanken are essential.
This event is an initiative of the Iwama Budo Kai a.s.d. and is part of the 2026 educational and training program of the association and the Big Events 2026 program.
Schedule and programme
The seminar will be structured into three main sessions with the following timings:
Saturday, March 28
09:30–12:30 (keiko 1 & 2)
15:30–18:30 (keiko 3 & 4)
Sunday, March 29
09:30–12:30 (keiko 5 & 6)
The seminar program may include practice in empty-hand techniques (taijutsu), aikiken, aikijo, and weapon disarms (bukidori), presented according to the pedagogy of the Iwama Shin Shin Aiki Shurenkai.
Detailed session content may be adjusted at the discretion of Di Carlo Sensei.
Participation Fee
Attendance to the full koshukai requires payment of a participation fee amounting to € 50. Payment can be done onsite by cash or card upon first arriving at the dojo.
Attendance to single sessions of the koshukai requires payment of a participation fee amounting to € 25 per session. Payment can be done onsite by cash or card upon first arriving at the dojo.
Practitioners staying overnight at the dojo will need to pay a contribution of € 5.00 per person per night, payable only in cash together with the seminar fee.
Registration
To participate in the koshukai, you must register via the provided online form no later than 24 March 2026.
Late registrations will not be accepted.
Venue
The seminar will take place in the main martial arts hall of the Corpo Libero complex, via Roma 15 in Ronchi dei Legionari (GO). Access to the seminar office and the hall is not through the main entrance, but through the rear parking entrance at via Roma 35-39, Ronchi.
Overnight at dojo
It is possible to stay at the dojo on the night of Friday 27 March and/or Saturday 28 March for €5 per person per night.
To stay overnight, you must register via the online form by the deadline and specify the nights you plan to stay.
Registered participants will be able to store their sleeping bags and gear in a dedicated space separate from the training hall. Use of changing rooms, showers, and toilets is included.

Photos and video recording
No independent photo or video recording is allowed during the seminar. Any recording will be responsibility of the people appointed by the organisers.
